Until the school’s opening, there were no educational facilities for Burmese children in the Kuraburi area. The Learning Center can provide education for 80 children, following to the Burmese curriculum as well as lessons in Thai and English language. Additions like a secure fence and playground are still needed.

Ei Phyu Kyaw
Ei Phyu is 6 years old, her parents Htwe Kyi and Thein Win are from Yebyu Village in the Tanintharyi Rehion of Burma but she was born in Thailand. Ei Phyu has two brothers who also attend the Mulberry Learning Center.
She is currently in the 1st grade and her favorite subject is Mathematics. She is deciding whether she wants to be a doctor or an actress when she grows up.
Aung Thun Myo
His favorite subject in school is English and he enjoys playing football with his friends.
He wants to be a soldier when he grows up.
