Every treehouse and bungalow has their own charm and characteristics including an open deck from which to enjoy the views of Khao Sok. You will find yourself immersed in the rainforest with an incredible array of wildlife. Great Hornbill birds and Gibbon monkeys are sometimes seen from our treetop balconies, amongst the fabulous environment bursting with life.
We offer open air, fan cooled accommodation in keeping with our eco ethics. As we are surrounded by rainforest, the weather is usually lovely and cool, surpassing the need for energy consuming air-conditioners. Our houses are built with locally grown bamboo, nipa-palm thatch, and other low-impact materials. We take great care and pride in ensuring our rooms are built in harmony and respect to the local environment.
Feel at home at Our Jungle House whether you are a solo adventurer, a family, a couple looking for a romantic get away or a vintage traveller! We have many different styles of rooms to suit your needs. To book your preferred choice of accommodation, please visit our Accommodation section.
Amenities include: Hot water showers, western style toilets, fans, mosquito net and coils, filtered water, Essential oil body soap, and towels/blankets/sheets.
Restaurant and Bar
Join us for world class views of the stunning white cliffs and the gorgeous Klong Sok river from our double storied, open aired bar and restaurant.
Our newly built restaurant and bar continue to be loved and praised by guests on their Trip Advisor reviews. Enjoy high-quality authentic Thai dishes (ask for ‘non-spicy’ if you don’t want it!), as well as delicious western favourites. Vegetarians can eat to their hearts content too! We offer well-known Thai dishes such as Pad Thai noodles and Green Curry along with less-heard-of Thai favorites such as Kao Soi noodles. If you are craving food from home, try our hearty American breakfast, pasta dishes with garlic bread or one of our many large salads. In the evening relax in our upstairs bar with a cocktail, juice or local beer. It’s a great place to make new friends or unwind after a long days hike.
Tour and Information Desk
You will want to get ‘out and about’ while in Khao Sok to experience this truly magnificent environment. We provide comprehensive information in our tour information books and our friendly and informative English speaking reception staff can assist in booking exciting tours and activities such as river tubing, jungle hikes, canoeing trips, elephant hikes and of course a visit to the spectacular Cheow Lan lake. For more specialized trips such as bird watching, fishing, over night trips to Cheowlan lake, we highly recommend booking these in advance with us to assure availability!
Above reception is our beautiful ‘Play House’ area looking over the Klong Sok river. Enjoy this rustic little open aired, cushioned room in the day with a book from our book exchange shelf, or perhaps some board games to wile away a gorgeous afternoon. Relax with a private Thai massage in your rooms or at the rivers edge in the Play House.
We open the Play House at night to show award winning environmental films and documentaries. Grab a cocktail or a hot coco and nestle down amongst the sounds of nature to a relaxing night with us!
We also host specialised Guide talk nights. Our passionate local guides will bring along their favourite photos for an after dinner presentation on Khao Sok animal and wild life and answer all your questions about local life.
Our Film and Guide Talk nights are presented in high season only, twice weekly.
Around the Resort
Free WiFi internet is accessible to help our guests keep in touch with the outside world or to upload the day’s exciting photographs. We don’t WiFi the whole resort – just the restaurant and reception area; we like to keep the charm and give guests the chance disconnect and be at one with nature.
On-site enjoyment starts with our river, lined with limestone cliffs. Grab one of our inflated tubes and float down the river past our treehouses, sunbathe at our very own river “beach” or paddle in the stream when the water levels are low. Gorgeous!
If you are feeling active, enjoy one of our three ‘nature walks’ on our property set amongst our private rainforest!
Under the guidance of Dick Sandler, a pioneer of Thai eco-tourism, Our Jungle House makes a commendable effort towards environmental sustainability. This includes providing filtered water, recycling, and initiating community projects such as Fet’s Free-range eggs. Read more about it in our Khao Sok Ecotourism and blog sections.
