Travel information on getting to and from Khao Sok and Krabi
Many visitors are looking for travel information from Krabi to Khao Sok. They are attracted by adventures in the park and on Cheow Lan lake as well as the incredible scenery and abundant nature. However, getting from Krabi to Khao Sok national park requires some planning. The bus from Krabi to Khao Sok can be a bit of a challenge. For example, there are no direct buses from the airport. We have outlined some of the best transport options and provided some useful tips on the return journey from Khao Sok to Krabi.
From the Airport
A medium-sized, international airport, Krabi International Airport has non-stop passenger flights scheduled to 11 destinations in 6 countries. They include Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar, Norway, China, and the UAE. At present, there are 4 domestic flights to Krabi from Chiang Mai and Bangkok. So, this may well be your starting point.
Unfortunately, there are no direct public buses so you will need to make your way to the Krabi bus terminal. It is 10 km away and from there you can take a direct bus to Khao Sok. Going this route will take over 5 hours.

Private transfers are also available and this is the fastest option.
From Krabi Town
By Bus: Phantip Travel operates a direct bus from Krabi to khao Sok. The journey takes around 3.5 hours. Head to the Krabi bus terminal.
By Shared Van: Hatyai World Tour Co Ltd operates daily shared van options. Journey takes around 3 hours.
If you travel from Krabi to khao Sok by bus or by most of the shared vans, you will be dropped off at the Khao Sok bus station. Local taxis will deliver you to Our Jungle House (2.5km's). This should cost no more than 80 baht per person.
By taxi: There are plenty of options for taxis from Krabi to Khao Sok. Your journey will be between 2 hrs 30 mins and 3 hrs.
Self-Drive from Krabi – 2.5 - 3 Hours
Departing Krabi, head northwest on Thanon Phet Kasem / Route 4 for about 60 km and turn right onto Route 4118 in the town of Thap Phut. Proceed 45 km and when the road ends, turn left onto Route 401. Follow Route 401 west for 37 km and turn right into Khao Sok National Park.

Khao Sok to Krabi
The return journey is very similar to the above. However, there are some things to note:
- You will need to get transport from Our Jungle House to the bus station if you are using public transport.
