Surat Thani Airport to Khao Sok
The airport is 34 km from the town bus station, so it is useful to save time, and more convenient, to travel directly from the airport. Phantip Travel runs a public shared van service directly from the airport. You can pre-book your place or find booths selling tickets when you exit the baggage claim area. Note – you need to be there before 4:15pm. If you arrive after that time you will need to make alternative arrangements.
Local Busses from Surat Thani Town
One option is to travel to town and take a public bus to Khao Sok. Both ‘Phantip Travel’ and ‘465 Surat Thani Phuket Transport’ provide bus services.
Local buses depart both the train and bus station hourly from around 6am- 5pm. This schedule is very flexible, and buses only leave when the bus is full. 100-120 Baht.
When you arrive at Khao Sok you will be dropped off at the local bus station which is over 2 km from us. Just tell one of the pick-up truck drivers there to deliver you to Our Jungle House. This should cost no more than 80 baht per person.
Taxis
You can book a taxi or Private Hire directly from the airport. GRAB is available and recommended if you have the app on your phone. Otherwise, there are booths organizing taxi rides to Khao Sok.
Private Transfers
For maximum convenience and reliability, we recommend booking a private transfer from Surat Thani to Khao Sok. Especially if you are travelling as a family or other group. Cars can take 2 or 3 people with light luggage. Private vans are available for larger groups. We can arrange everything for you, and you can add this as part of your online booking.

Self-drive
The map apps on your phone work well. Just search for Our Jungle House and it will pop up. You can then find the best route driving from the airport or town. The journey is super easy as you just pick up highway 401 and drive west towards Takua Pa until you reach the entrance to Khao Sok.

Khao Sok to Surat Thani Airport
There are a few things to know about your return journey from Khao Sok to Surat Thani airport (URT). For one thing GRAB does not operate in Khao Sok so this is not an option. You will also need to organise a transfer to the local bus station if you are travelling by public van or bus. Just contact our friendly staff at reception and they will take care of this for you. The same goes for organising a private transfer. Just let them know your travel plans.
